St. Gertrude media center assists and supports the religious, intellectual, ethical, cultural, and social development of students. The library program strives to meet the needs of the curriculum as well as the personal needs and interests of individual students. Our full time librarian is assisted by many parent volunteers to provide our students with all their library needs.
Program Features:
  • Computerized circulation system with online public access catalog
  • Structured 45 minute, weekly library classes for K-5; emphasis on literature, character education, reading, library and study skills
  • Weekly scheduled library period for grades 6-8 with additional time available for research
  • Accelerated Reader reading program for grades 1-8
  • Enrichment activities for grades 6-8 including chess and Lego robotics
  • Full-time certified librarian
